Net setting for HCL Me U1 tablet

Hi, I brought HCL Me U1 tablet 3 days before and is good tablet in 8,000Rs. I read the specification of this tablet that it can connect 3G dongle directly and can access net, but I am not able to connect the net from my MTS data card. Please help me how to access net from dongle.

Hi, HCL Me U1 is new in the market and is good latest version Android Tab in the market. Go to MTS service centre they will guide you for this as this is new Tab in the market, settings is somewhat difficult just because of un-awareness. There is simple step which can be followed to set your net settings. First go to settings menu and then go to More option given below Wi-fi and Data usage list. Click on more you will be listed with two option VPN and Mobile networks. Click on Mobile networks you will be provided by Mobile network settings list there you have to click on Access Point Names and you will see the APN list is empty so click on option button there and your be listed with three option New APN, Edit and Disable APN. Click to New APN and there you will see list of APN setting. For APN write APN as sp.mts, for user Type internet@internet.mtsindia.in, Dial number should be set as #777, then go directly to MCC there set it as 302 and MNC to 660. Just leave all lists as default and click on save then and Reboot and then connect your dongle and can access your internet easily. Check this setting it will definitely work.

hi, HCL me U1 tab does not support MTS data card for internet connection. You are provided by manuals you can check there for supported dongle and APN settings. You can go to the link www.hclsupportservice.in/metablet/connectusbdongle.htm and check the APN settings and try out with your appropriate dongle. For compatible dongle for your tab see this link www.hclsupportservice/connectusbdongle.htm so go to the link and find out your data card and its settings for your tab.

Thanks for providing the link of HCL supportive dongles and also the settings procedure with respective dongles. I am having Tata photon with me and was finding difficult to establish network and APN settings on my HCL me U1 tab but this link provided me with full details of APN settings and proxy server and now I am able to set my dongle settings and enjoy net surfing. So I will suggest everyone with HCL ME U1 should look at the link stated above and get their settings easily.

After trying a lot, I was not able to get the correct settings for this and then I reached to this thread. I read the post made over here and followed the instructions as it is given over here. The settings are very correct as it works in the first attempt only. I am very thankful for you for posting the detailed information on the same. I was very frustrated with it but now I am relaxed. I have saved the steps for this in my PC so that I can also refer the same if something wrong happen again.
