Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition save game file needed

My desktop machine has been infected by viruses and Trojans. Of late, it used to run very slow. It used to take too long time boot. I had installed Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition on my Windows 7 machine. But as my desktop machine was having virus issue, yesterday I was not able to play games or run any application. I had this problem even I had run a full system scan using AVG anti-virus. Now that I have formatted my desktop machine to get rid of the virus issue, I have also lost the saved game files of Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition. Is there a way I can get the Saved game files back?

I also have the same requirement. I had completed the game almost about 60-70%. While browsing the internet a virus got loaded on my machine. I had tried to re-store my computer to a safe point in history but that also did not work. The only thing which worked was re-installing Windows. Now that I have re-installed Windows, I have lost the files. Really don not know if I can get them back. Please help

I was unable to find the saved game files and the below procedure helped me. But I doubt if it will work for you. You can try it:

1. Open FalloutNV folder
2. Set Fallout.ini file to NOT-Read Only.
3. Open the file.
4. Cntrl+F to search SLocalSavePath in the file.
5. Note the path which is showed.
